La Dee Da Gourmet Sauces was founded by three tenacious entrepreneurs - Jo Anne Elsbury, Mary Marino and Marlow Italiano. When the time came to consider a career change, Jo Anne and Mary found themselves quitting their jobs and taking the leap into entrepreneurship to build an inclusive sauce company. Launched in 2015, La Dee Da Gourmet Sauces produces plant-based sauces fit for every consumer - those that are vegan, have gluten or dairy intolerances and even those who have trouble digesting nightshade vegetables. In 2016, Marlow Italiano joined the team, and the three female owners have been growing the company rapidly since.
In 2018, La Dee Da Gourmet Sauces was accepted into District Ventures Accelerator's Cohort Six program. The program provides companies with $150,000 investment in exchange for a minority equity stake from District Ventures Capital, along with distribution, sales and marketing support to help early stage food and health companies grow.
