Freshii finds itself at the intersection of 3 global accelerating market forces: health and wellness, millennials, and affordable entrepreneurship. In lieu of a business plan, we stay on the cutting edge of business by living and breathing our 5 guiding principles:
Guiding Principle #1: Talk is Cheap - Execution Sets You Apart
It's really easy to talk about an initiative - a goal, an idea, a challenge - but execution will always set you apart. At Freshii, we’re in the business of operating restaurants - not opening restaurants. The people who drive this business forward are those who consistently execute operations at a high level. Don't just talk great ideas, do great ideas.
Guiding Principle #2: Launch Fast, Fail Faster, Iterate Faster
It's simple; if you’re not iterating fast enough - another brand is going to beat you to the punch. Even if you fail, it's key to be the first back up on the horse. Don't fear mistakes; it takes making mistakes to learn how to get it right.
Guiding Principle #3: Build a Company with a Killer Culture - Not a Culture that Kills your Company
People are power. Building a company culture where the team not only jive and work well together but also feel incredibly loyal can add a significant amount of value to any business. When you show your team that you care about them, they will in return care about your company. An employee that feels appreciated and part of a great team will want your company to succeed even further.
Guiding Principle #4: Numbers Rule!
We are maniacal about data at Freshii. If you can’t measure it - you can't manage it. Every week we try to add a new metric that we can use to better understand our business and our trends in an effort to stay on the cutting edge. Without numbers and data, you’re simply making decisions based on your gut and not being objective.
Guiding Principle #5: Pick Your Battles
Don’t be difficult to work with. Being overly defensive about issues that don't ultimately matter can harm your business. We're all learning and growing together, we are bound to make mistakes and get frustrated along the way. Learn how to communicate effectively and don't allow outside stressors to derail your focus. When you feel like you might overreact, remove yourself from the situation and take a break. Also, it's equally as important to know when to stand up for yourself.
