Event & Ticketing Terms and Conditions (as of September 2, 2014)
Refund / Cancellation Policy
Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable without expressed written consent of YouInc, Ltd. (“YouInc”). YouInc reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel an event prior to the start date, delay the start date, change a venue or restrict access to venues, for any reason. If an event is cancelled or access is restricted, YouInc will refund affected ticketholders the cost of registration. If an event is postponed, rescheduled or relocated, ticketholders will not be entitled to a refund.
All advertised speakers, presenters and exhibitors at YouInc events are subject to change, at the sole discretion of YouInc. A change of speaker, presenter or exhibitor does not constitute a cancellation of the event, and ticketholders will not be entitled to a refund. For the avoidance of doubt, YouInc has the right, in its sole discretion, to change advertised speakers, presenters and exhibitors, without prior notice.
Ticket prices are listed in the currency of the jurisdiction of the event. Applicable federal and provincial taxes will be applied to all purchases.
YouInc engages ticketing and credit card processing companies Picatic and Stripe to process all payments. Payments are subject to the terms and conditions of Picatic and Stripe.
YouInc’s ordinary course protocol is to provide purchasers with confirmation of their purchase, either directly or through Picatic. If you do not receive a confirmation number (in the form of a confirmation page or email) after submitting payment information, or if you experience an error message or service interruption after submitting payment information, it is your responsibility to confirm with YouInc whether or not your purchase has been completed. Only you may be aware of any problems that may occur during the purchase process. YouInc is not responsible for losses (monetary or otherwise) arising as a result, directly or indirectly, of a failure of receipt of confirmation.
Pricing and Other Errors
If (a) the amount you pay for a ticket, course or product is incorrect, for any reason, (b) you order a ticket, course or product before its scheduled on-sale or presale date, or (c) you are able to order a ticket, course or product that was not authorized by YouInc to have been released for sale, then: YouInc will have the right to cancel that ticket, course or product (or the order for that ticket, course or product) and refund to you the amount that you paid, less taxes and handling fees. Rectification of errors in this matter shall apply regardless of the cause of such error, including errors cause by YouInc staff, contractors, hardware or software.
Event Recording & Participation Policy
The use of audio and video recording devices at any YouInc event is strictly prohibited without the prior written consent of YouInc. By attending YouInc events you agree not to use any audio or video recording device without the expressed consent of YouInc. This restriction includes, without limitation, press credentialed attendees.
YouInc reserves the sole right to capture audio and video at all events for the purposes of publishing across all media channels. All attendees, whether or not they have purchased a ticket, agree to allow their likeness to be used for these purposes. Unless otherwise agreed to in writing, YouInc shall be the sole owner or licensee of all intellectual property broadcast or published at a YouInc event.
Release By attending a YouInc event, attendees (regardless of whether they have purchased a ticket) agree that YouInc, its parent, related and affiliated companies, and each of their respective officers, directors, shareholders, employees and agents (collectively, the “Releasees”) shall have no liability whatsoever for, and shall be held harmless by attendees against, any liability for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind (including direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages) to persons or property occurring at or in connection with an event. Further, by attending a YouInc event, attendees agree that Releasees have no liability whatsoever for, and shall be held harmless by attendees against, any liability for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind (including direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages) to persons or property resulting from (a) advice or information published or broadcast at such YouInc event, or (b) any claims based on personality, privacy rights or defamation.
Attendees agree and understand that YouInc events are for entertainment purposes only and do not constitute, nor or they meant to constitute, specific advice of any kind on any particular matter. If you require specific advice in relation to any business operation, investment strategy, transaction or any other matter, you should consult an appropriate professional. YouInc shall not be liable for any losses or damages of any kind (including direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages) arising from information published or broadcast at a YouInc event.
YouInc reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time.
