Can you recommend a person or agency to speak with regarding the grant process in Ontario (Toronto)? The volume of information out there on grants is overwhelming and the agencies I have spoken with don't give me a lot of confidence that there will be any grant money left to implement a program after their fees are collected.

Hi Nance,

The application process for grants in Ontario can vary depending on the specific program. Our business information officers at Canada Business Ontario can help you narrow down which programs might apply to you and direct you to the appropriate agency or organization for more information on the process. You can contact a business information officer by calling toll-free at 1-888-576-4444 (TTY: 1-800-457-8466), or by filling out our online form: http://www.canadabusiness.ca/eng/page/contact/sgc-35/

You may also want to look at our Grants and Financing Tool (http://www.canadabusiness.ca/eng/program/search/) to search for government grants, loans, and financing that may be available. The tool is free and will generate a customized list of programs based on your region, your type of business, and the purpose of financing.

Best of luck with your business!
