Category: Marketing

I have my website up, but I am lacking traffic. My site is all about story making and sharing along with educating and uplifting. Everyday, my team and I working to add content and I know that having more content will help to bring more viewers, but I am wondering if anyone has advice on how I would be able to attract more people. Hi Alex!

One of the biggest mistakes I see people make on their websites is focusing on creating a lot of content, without actually doing a lot of content marketing. It is better to create less content, and focus on pushing each piece out into the world. You should do this by sharing the post across multiple social media platforms, contacting media in your niche to share the post, and by advertising the post on platforms like Facebook and Twitter. There is no point in creating more content if each piece isn't driving a lot of traffic back to your site. When youre starting out, I also recommend writing for other relevant media outlets in your niche that have a bigger following than you. Guest posting on other peoples websites is often more valuable than creating content for your own website when it comes to driving traffic.
