I have been a single parent entrepreneur since my early twenties. Through trial and error I am now hitting my stride in my fifties. It's more than challenging when one has no spousal emotional support or financial support, it can be lonely at the top. And the day can roll into the other in a blur. I feel the benefits are worth it. The work environment is a second home to the employees. And although an entrepreneur cannot make every employee happy on the job, every single work day, they can most definitely make the work environment a comfortable place to be for those interested. The employee of an entrepreneur looks to the entrepreneur as the person of knowledge. We have automatically set ourselves up for it as business owners. We set the tone of our corporate culture. We are the value creator of our society by creating jobs for others, who are our value producers, being employed within our organization. That is a huge load to carry, willingly, every single day of the week. I am so grateful to have access to a website of this kind, geared to the Canadian entrepreneur. The first opportunity I had I signed up. Finally somewhere to go for information outside of an exclusive organization. Thank you Arlene Dickinson for starting this site. We needed it. And to all of you entrepreneurs or budding entrepreneurs, make your day a great menu day everyday. Cheers!
