Making Mistakes

One sure way of finding inner calm is to make sure you really learn from your mistakes. Accept that they’re everywhere and made by everyone, with the good news being they’re also at the birth of many amazing discoveries. Understand that to truly benefit from what’s happened, it’s up to you to spend a moment (or three or four) looking at where, how and why you made the choices that you did. Either believe that it was the best decision you could’ve made at the time or understand why it wasn’t. It’s in looking at the choices that didn’t work, where you’ll find better options for the future. Examine what was/wasn’t in your control and see if you’d done anything differently, what might the outcome have looked like? I caution you to be aware though, in your quest for balance, of the difference between reviewing an event in the past and checking your behavior and choices, and living in that place regretting the same moment over and over again to little or no avail. Learn from the facts and feelings of a poor choice by ensuring that you don’t place yourself back into the same scenario expecting different results. And then, let it go.  see more at
